SustainaCore Launches the TECH100 AI Governance & Ethics Index
LONDON — August 14, 2025.
SustainaCore today unveiled the TECH100 AI Governance & Ethics Index (“TECH100AIGOV”), a transparent, methodology-driven benchmark that tracks how large, publicly listed technology companies disclose and manage AI governance. Daily index levels and a public JSON feed are available from launch. “TECH100AIGOV translates disclosures into a consistent, auditable score and a simple index you can track over time.”
Methodology at a glance • Universe: The 100 largest Nasdaq-listed technology names, screened for free-float market cap and liquidity; ADRs excluded. • Scoring model (AIGES): Five pillars—Transparency, Ethical Principles, Governance Structure, Regulatory Alignment, Stakeholder Engagement—rolled into a composite per issuer and date. Scores are refreshed on a quarterly cycle (Jan/Apr/Jul/Oct). • Selection & Weighting: Top 25 companies by AIGES with rules-based constraints; equal-weighted. • Maintenance: Annual reconstitution in April; quarterly rebalances in Jan/Apr/Jul/Oct. • Base & Calculation: Base date January 2, 2025 at 1,000 (total-return series); divisor adjusts for corporate actions. • Dissemination: Daily index levels on site + open JSON API for non-commercial use.
Why it matters TECH100AIGOV focuses on what’s disclosed and governed—not just performance marketing. The five-pillar framework highlights whether firms publish policies, define accountability, align to regulation, and engage stakeholders, making AI governance comparable across issuers and time.
Access & tooling The index is integrated directly into SustainaCore’s APEX app with performance and risk pages, and is queryable through REST endpoints for easy charting and research. The platform’s AI chat can answer methodology questions using first-party documentation only.
Disclaimers TECH100AIGOV is a research benchmark. It is not an investable product and does not constitute investment advice. Company inclusion reflects governance disclosures and rules-based scoring—not an endorsement of corporate practices.
